Foreign trade: Consolidation of service platforms nearing completion

The new Moroccan Foreign Trade Procedures Portal will go live in the coming weeks. It will consolidate the entire foreign trade procedural chain to provide users with an interface that brings together the various information systems used by foreign trade stakeholders. This means that, in addition to the Portnet single window services, all other foreign trade platform services such as Morocco Foodex, Atlas of ONSSA (Moroccan food safety agency), and the Badr platform of the Customs Administration will be accessible via this Portal. This will enable users to complete all procedures in one place, eliminating the need to enter the same data multiple times, reducing the risk of errors, and saving a considerable amount of time.
The announcement was made by Youssef Ahousi, CEO of Portnet, on Friday, November 21, 2025, in Dakhla during the second day of the Dakhla Africa Logistics Forum. As he explained, Portnet has been mandated by stakeholders to set up, develop, operate, maintain, and upgrade the Portal. This follows the signing of a strategic agreement during the launch of the 2025-2027 Foreign Trade Roadmap on May 28, under the chairmanship of the Head of Government.
“ This new portal will improve the current state of foreign trade declarations, which are characterized by fragmented import/export formalities and controls carried out only after the goods have arrived ”, said the CEO of Portnet. Indeed, the central problem currently lies in the exclusively retrospective nature of the various controls, which are carried out only after the goods have arrived at the various border posts. Therefore, a coordinated and proactive approach, with prior harmonization of data, is necessary to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the various controls. This Portal will centralize information in a single harmonized file, guarantee the uniqueness of the data declared and the documents submitted, and anticipate controls. It will also enhance security and logistical efficiency, offering economic operators a multi-channel declaration and a solution for 360-degree management of their operations.
